New to skincare? We got you!

We know skincare can be quite overwhelming when you don’t exactly know what your skin needs. Therefore we’re here to help you out! In this blog you will learn how to define your skin type, create a simple routine adjusted to your needs and determine the right order to apply your products.

Define which skin type you have

All skin types can benefit from daily use of products, but different skin types have different needs. That’s why understanding your skin type is the most important step in properly caring for it. But how do you know what type of skin you have? The answer to this question can be found through simple observation.

1. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and pat it dry
2. Do not use any products on your face and wait for 2 hours
3. After waiting, take your finger and pat it on different parts of your skin

Create a simple skincare routine that works

Now that you know what skin type you have, it is time create a routine that fits the needs of your skin type. The 3 fundamental elements of a good skincare routine are cleansing, hydrating and protecting. Therefore you need a proper cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen. You can of course add serums, exfoliants, essences and eye creams to your routine, but let's stick to the basics for now.

To find out which cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen are suitable for your skin type, use the 'Refine' button on our website. This will filter all products to only those that are recommended for your specific skin type.

Pro tip: if you experience a skin concern like acne, dryness, redness or sensitivity, try to filter on both your skin type and skin concern for more accurate recommendations. 🩷
